Heart Castles

Well your heart can be a lonely castle,
And it has its own defenses strong and tall,
After you have had another hassle,
That has backfired on you,
What your emotions can do.

You need an open heart massage by the Lord,
To keep you pliable and help you to be restored.
I’ve heard of hardened arteries,
Well y’know now there’s even hardened hearts,
A sickness that keeps you and the Lord far apart.
Yes it does, really does!

Well you’ve built your walls of stone and mortar,
And a moat of tears surround them cold and deep,
And you’ve stationed guards at every corner,
They’re doing battle for you,
No one is gonna get through.

You’ve got to open up and quit your one man war.
God’s got no battering ram,
he’s just plainly knocking on your door.
Lower the drawbridge and surrender to the King.
He’ll bring a victory song and from your heart you’ll sing.
Yes you will, you’ll sing!

Well my heart now knows a blessed freedom,
For the Lord sits there enthroned upon my soul.
By his love I see in to His kingdom,
And its such a lovely view,
He wants to share it with you,
Such a lovely view.
