He Never Said it Would Be Easy

Sometimes the problems seem piled higher than the sky.
Sometimes it seems your doubting, and you’re asking “why?”
Sometimes it’s hard to sing praises to the Lord
Sometimes it’s really hard to trust and lean on His Word.

(Chorus)
He never said it would be easy.
He never said you wouldn’t cry.
But he died and He was crucified,
To ransom you from sin.
He didn’t say there’d be no troubles.
He didn’t say there’d be no pain.
But he came to redeem mankind,
And He’s coming back again,
Coming back again!

It seems we’re always worried ’bout tomorrow’s bread.
Wond’rin’ if the children will be properly fed.
Seems bills are due and were complainin’ ’bout our jobs.
But we’re not being mocked and scourged or stoned by angry mobs.

(repeat chorus)

We have eternity but still we’re not content.
We still spend too much time on worryin’ how our money’s spent.
He gave his very life, still the future scares us stiff.
We need to trust in God, instead of thinking: Why? or If?

(repeat chorus)
